I have always loved them, as well!! I am drawn to the tiny dbl hung windows and fire escapes that travel down the length of the building from top to bottom. Reminds me of something out of an old fashioned 1940’s film. 🙂
this looks a bit different from my hotel i was staying in some days ago in dom rep (also formelly inside the hilton group). we had even our private rain in the bathroom 😉

it was most fantastic, the people, music, caribbean sea, the most fertile nature…and diving!!! but the poverty was breaking my heart.
